Baby Marcus and his two aunts were shot in May 2013 when gunfire rang out at a crowded cookout. While his aunts survived, Marcus did not.
East Hills residents say it's a tragedy that should have never happened.
"The innocent lives that is involved when people make mistakes and think that's how you solve a problem, by picking up the gun, and willing to take someone else's life is sad," said Renita Lear, a resident who lives in the East Hills.
Lear says the person responsible needs to step forward.
"They deserve justice," said Lear. "They need to put that baby to rest, and they need to know what's going on, who did it and why."
Detectives say Watson along with two other people shot into a crowd of about 30 people at a cookout in May 2013.
One witness told police the shooting was mapped out after someone attending the cookout allegedly sold fake drugs at a party the day before.
"Everybody needs to own their stuff," said Lear. "So, if you Desaun, whoever is out there that know they did something, and you big and bad and you did it, own it."
Lear hopes this will also bring some closure to baby Marcus's loved ones.
"Justice for him," said Lear. "Justice for the community and the mother who has to grieve because that baby would have been what, 8-years-old, now."
