2 Teens Hurt In Brookline Pedestrian Accident

BROOKLINE (KDKA) – Two teenagers were injured in a Monday night pedestrian accident in Brookline.

According to police, the accident happened outside of a McDonald's on West Liberty Avenue around 8 p.m.

A friend said a group of them were walking on the sidewalk prior to the accident. However, two boys were just off the sidewalk when one lost his balance.

"The one fell, so he grabbed [the other boy] for support so they both fell over and all you heard was thump, thump. And then, you looked over and you heard [his] leg snap and he hit the ground," Alexis Rahall said.

Friends said the driver appeared to attempt to leave the scene, but a group of them were able to stop him.

The extent of the injuries suffered is unknown and the driver has not been charged at this time.
