2 Brackenridge residents charged in alleged assault of 9-year-old boy, police say

Two Brackenridge residents were arrested after a 9-year-old boy was allegedly assaulted, according to Allegheny County police.

First responders were originally notified of a report of child abuse involving the boy around 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 20, police said.

Police later identified the suspects as 28-year-old Taylor Slivan and 28-year-old Tyler Slivan, both of Brackenridge.

Both were arrested and charged with aggravated assault, criminal conspiracy, endangering the welfare of children and recklessly endangering another person, according to police. They were taken to the Allegheny County Jail.

While detectives were serving arrest and search warrants, they discovered numerous items associated with 3D-printed firearm suppressors and grenades, police said.

The Allegheny County Bomb Squad, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and county hazmat team were called to assist. The investigation into the items is ongoing.
