"The FBI in Pittsburgh continues to provide investigative, technical, and analytical support to our partners at the Department of Homeland Security in their immigration operations all over the region as directed by the Attorney General," the spokesperson said.

Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms were also seen participating in the raids. The Philadelphia office of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement told KDKA-TV it's working on an official statement but hasn't released further details.

"It's mind-boggling, to be honest with you," said customer Tiffany Mcallister. "I mean, I understand they have certain criteria or different things for certain situations, but I've never had any problems with any of them."

Staff members at the restaurant, which was back open on Thursday, declined to speak on camera, only saying that their lawyers are handling the matter.

"If they were personally really illegally here, then I don't have a problem with them going. But they were amazing. We were just in there, there's no same people in there, it's all new people," said Donna Bentler.

Congressman Chris Deluzio's office told KDKA they first heard about the incident from concerned community members. His team is now seeking answers from federal agencies to better understand what happened.

"They were amazing people, that's all I can say. We come here weekly, we come and watch the trains. When I saw it yesterday, I said, 'Are you kidding me?' So we came here today just to see if they would be open again," said Bentler.

It's unclear what the purpose of the raid was or if anyone was taken into custody.
