4-1-Zoo: Ashton Gibbs to Enter NBA Draft

PITTSBURGH -- Per KDKA-TV's Bob Pompeani and a tweet by SNY.tv's Adam Zagoria, Ashton Gibbs will forego his senior season at Pitt and enter the NBA Draft.

Zagoria tweeted this morning that Gibbs texted him, saying he will enter the NBA Draft.

Zagoria also tweeted that Gibbs will not hire an agent, but test the NBA waters.

Adam Zagoria covers Big East basketball for SNY.tv and 1050 ESPN Radio in New York.

While this news seems alarming, Gibbs could still return to Pitt next season. This might be an attempt just to find out his draft status. Since he hasn't hired an agent and has a year of eligibility left he can still return to Pitt.
