60,000 Pack Heinz Field For U2 Concert

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Irish rock band U2 performed before more than 60,000 fans at Heinz Field Tuesday night.

The band's stage was massive, with a large claw-like structure and big video screen above.

The band mentioned that it was a hot night in Pittsburgh and referenced the City of Champions.

This is the last stop in the U.S. for the band's tour.

The band also mentioned the Rooneys. Dan Rooney is serving as the U.S. Ambassador to Ireland.

Michael Dunlay, originally from Oakmont, traveled from Chicago to see the show. He says he's been to 40 U2 concerts in the last 10 years.

Mike Podolinski from Latrobe says he's been waiting since high school to attend a U2 concert.

Cole Krivoksi of Murrysville said Bono really knows how to rev up the crowd.

Heinz Field must now prepare for filming of the next Batman movie.
