Top 5 Sports Memorabilia Items From 'Hidden Treasures' Event

Pittsburgh's sports teams have provided us all with plenty of wonderful memories.

Memories such as the "Immaculate Reception," Maz's homer and Marc-Andre Fleury's "Secret Service Save" will be engrained in our minds forever.

While the memories are nice to reflect upon, owning or seeing pieces of memorabilia from those moments brings them back to life.

Many historical items get handed down through the generations. In those cases, the sentimental value will far outweigh the monetary.

However, if you have a piece of sports memorabilia and you're wondering how much it might be worth, you're in luck.

The Heinz History Center is gearing up to check out old finds and prized possessions from about 1,500 people for the Seventh Annual "Pittsburgh's Hidden Treasures."

Here's a look at five of the best pieces of sports memorabilia that have been appraised at the event through the years:

1. Baseball Program: An historic baseball program autographed by baseball legends.
Appraisal: $1,500

2. A team photo of the Pittsburgh "Pirates" football team from 1933, before they were the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Appraisal: $300

3. A sports autograph book from 1930s that features sports legends, including Pie Traynor, Kiki Cuyler, Jock Sutherland and others.
Appraisal: $2,500

4. Rare Pirates Photos of Honus Wagner, Fred Clarke and others.
Appraisal: $3,000

5. 1960s World Series Baseball.
Appraisal: $1,200
