Tickets to the ballet make the perfect Valentine's Day gift and the tragic love story depicted in the Moulin Rouge ballet production is a dramatic, poignent story of love set in Paris. Lush set designs, beautiful costumes and a powerful soundtrack of French music set the mood for the story of cabaret performers and their groupies. The gorgeous, gilded Benedum Center theatre itself is the perfect venue for this opulent Valentine's day show – but you don't have to be rich to get tickets.

Thurgood Marshall was the first African American Supreme Court Justice in the United States and this one-man play highlights the hardships Marshall overcame, the triumphs he celebrated and the humorous situations he encountered along the way. This play makes the story of this important American historical figure much more interesting than just reading about him from a history book. Settle in for a story that is educational and entertaining.

At a run time of just 60 minutes, Bubble Time is the perfect show to introduce children to Pittsbugh's amazing theatre productions. Performers, largely circus and Cirque du Soleil alumni, put on an interactive show with inflatable furniture, massive amounts of bubbles and human circus acts. The specifics of the show are under wraps so everything is a surprise, but plan on this show being something that kids will love and adults will enjoy, too. Plus, the affordability of the tickets makes this show even more appealing.
