Feb. 18, 2014: A 79-year-old woman reportedly pulled a gun on an unidentified man after he shoveled her driveway without asking permission and demanded money for his efforts. Police were called but no charges were filed.

Who stole 80 tons of road salt?
Feb. 24, 2014: Somebody made off with 80 tons of road salt in the Chicago suburb of Naperville,
apparently trucking it away from a private firm's storage shed. Police said the stolen salt - which would fill about 80 bathtubs - was valued
at about $10,000 and would cover two to three salt applications.
