SEPTA completes Regional Rail car inspections, but many still need work on safety measures

Federally mandates inspections are complete on all 223 Silverliner IV railcars used by SEPTA for Regional Rail trains. However, many trains still need work like installing thermal protection circuits -- which can cut the flow of electricity to a car if any components overheat. SEPTA says cars will gradually return to the rails as that work is completed, Dan Snyder reports.
