Photos show the northern lights visible in New Jersey skies Tuesday night

A red glow in Cumberland County, New Jersey on Tuesday night was due to the northern lights, also known as the aurora borealis. The phenomenon in the night sky is due to a strong geomagnetic storm hitting Earth's magnetic field.
