New Jersey law cracks down on those who intentionally start public brawls

Under the Garden State's newly enacted law, intentionally starting a public brawl would be a fourth-degree crime punishable by up to 18 months in jail, a fine of up to $10,000, or both. The law also upgrades penalties for disorderly conduct in certain circumstances.
