Gov. Shapiro on potential SEPTA service cuts: "The time is now to act"
Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro said Thursday the state legislature needs to act on providing funding for SEPTA and other mass transit agencies across the commonwealth. SEPTA says it would have to cut services, raise fare prices, and eliminate 50 bus routes and five Regional Rail train lines, closing 66 stations and curtailing service by 20% on the surviving routes.
