Pennsylvania's attorney general is continuing to take action against social media platforms and their lack of safeguards for the children who use them. The lawsuit alleges that Snapchat breaches state consumer protection laws by being dishonest about how often adult-themed material appears on the platform in order to keep its "13-plus" rating on app stores.
A former teacher was arrested Thursday after allegedly sending sexually explicit pictures to a former student, said New Castle police Friday morning. Police said they were alerted in July that Alanis Pinion, 24, sent the pictures to a 14-year-old former student on Snapchat.
