PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police say one officer was hurt after a woman led authorities on a brief chase on I-95 in Philadelphia on Friday morning.

It started around 10:45 a.m. on I-95 northbound near Bridge Street. Investigators say a traffic division officer attempted to pull over a tan Buick Century that was reportedly speeding.

When the officer stopped the female driver, she said she did not have any information and then sped off.  That's when the officer got caught by the car and was dragged for about five to ten feet.

According to the officer, the female driver appeared to be high on narcotics.

The chase ended near Woodhaven Road by Academy Road where a swarm of cop cars surrounded the Buick sedan.

Chopper 3 caught police detaining the driver, a woman in her 50s, as all northbound lanes were blocked.

The police officer who sustained a knee injury was taken to Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital.

The woman was charged with DUI and related offenses.

Authorities have not yet identified her.
