La Calaca Feliz translates as, "The happy skeleton."
"It's kind of a play on the Day of the Dead theme that is so prominent in Mexican culture," says Brian Sirhal, who also owns Cantina Feliz in Fort Washington. His new restaurant, at 2321 Fairmount Avenue in Philadelphia, is set to open on Tuesday.
"We take traditional Mexican dishes and use modern preparations and some modern ingredients to kind of fuse the two together and create some amazing Mexican food," he tells KYW Newsradio.

Around the corner, at 747 North 25th Street in Fairmount, Mike Welsh of the Franklin Mortgage and Investment Company bar has just opened Lemon Hill.
What has he learned from The Franklin that he's bringing to Lemon Hill?
"Well, let me count the ways!" he says with a laugh. "If I had to put my finger on one thing, it's making sure that you have the right team around you."
His team includes Chef Mitch Prensky of Supper restaurant.
"You know, the charm of what Mitch Prensky's skill set is, he really takes familiar dishes and puts a fantastic twist on them," Welsh says.

For fast, healthy food, head to Pure Fareat 119 South 21st Street, in center city. Owner Kriti Sehgal says they can even help you track your calories there.
"Anything that you buy at Pure Fare, we'll scan a card at the time of sale and you can go on and create a profile on our web site at www.purefare.com, fill in all your information, and you can see in your log of foods what you bought today, all the nutritional information. You can (also) log foods that you eat at other places," she says.
