Westtown-East Goshen Police Investigating Death Of Labrador

WESTTOWN TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) - Eleven-year-old Mugsy was considered part of the Ardell family. He and four-year-old Quinn were inseparable.
"She took him everywhere with her. She told everyone about her best friend Mugsy," Pam Ardell said.
"To know he went this way was just not right and I can't take that," Dean Ardell said.
The Westtown East Goshen Regional Police Department is looking into indications that Mugsy may have been killed after being thrown out of a moving car.
It happened Saturday night along West Chester Pike.
Samantha Dula can't say for sure what happened, but the 19-year-old was following behind what she thinks was a red four-door sedan driving erratically at about 10:30 p.m.
"I just saw some commotion on the left hand side of the car and it just looked like something had rolled out of the car. I thought it was a person and then I realized it was a large dog," Dula said.
The chocolate Labrador was then hit by at least one other vehicle.
Earlier that evening, Mugsy got loose from a home Dean Ardell was visiting. It's not known how Mugsy may have wound up in another car.
"It's very difficult for everyone because Mugsy was part of our family," Pam Ardell said.
The Ardells are offering a $1000 reward for anyone who can help track down the driver of that red sedan.
