Week 7: Eagles Studs And Duds

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- When your wide receivers total seven dropped passes, they're going to pop up on every dud list.

The Philadelphia Eagles lost to the Carolina Panthers 27-16 on Sunday night, in an error-filled sloppy game. But it wasn't Sam Bradford's fault.

Duds

3. Byron Maxwell

Not that he played awful---he did have a nice diving interception---but this missed tackle on Mike Tolbert was an embarrassing effort that may have cost the Eagles the game.

Instead of 3rd-and-goal from the 4-yard line, the Panthers took a 21-6 lead.

2. Josh Huff

Five targets, two catches. A dropped touchdown and a poorly designed key screen pass, where Huff could barely find his way back to the line of scrimmage.

1. Jordan Matthews

Seven targets, three catches, three drops, and he couldn't get his feet in bounds on a potential touchdown catch. I have no idea what is going on with Matthews, but this is becoming unbearable.

Studs

3. Sam Bradford

In a tough road game, against a very good Panthers defense, with ZERO help from his pass catchers, I thought Bradford played well. And that 4th down scramble for a first down was impressive.

2. Malcolm Jenkins

The dude continues to make plays and lead by example. I can't say enough about the play of Malcolm Jenkins. In my opinion, he's been the Eagles' most consistent and best all-around player through seven weeks.

1. Ryan Mathews

Just six carries, for whatever reason, for 97 yards and that 63-yard breakaway touchdown.
