Wednesday's Child: Tahkem

Tahkem, 13, has big dreams for his career:

"Either an NFL player, or a computer technician, or a comedian."

His adoption recruiter, Karen Nodle, says Tahkem is a budding entrepreneur.

"He's a little bit of a risk-taker. He has actually gone out himself and at several places created little businesses," she says. "One winter he did a lot of shoveling snow and made quite a bit of money, actually, out of that one. He also went to a grocery store and helped bag."

When he's not hard at work, Tahkem loves doing magic.

"I do card tricks. Like make a card come out of the air and stuff. I do other tricks too, like making a card appear at the top of the deck," he says.

A permanent family is his biggest wish, no matter who they might be.

"Sometimes it doesn't really even matter. It depends on how they would be," Tahkem reflects. "You just have to be a good mom -- usually it doesn't even matter as long as it's family."
