Wednesday's Child: Larnie

by KYW's Larry Kane
Produced by Jim Melwert

Larnie is 15 years old, and he has big dreams.

"I love music, music's my life. I grew up listening to a lot of music, everything like that, and it kind of stuck with me and I decided to pursue it as a career."

Larnie says that Michael Jackson is his favorite performer.

(Larnie:)  "He just knows what to do to entertain people."

(Kane:)   "Nice to have that kind of talent, isn't it, just to feel it?"

(Larnie:)  "Yes."

(Kane:)   "So what do you want to do in music?"

(Larnie:)  "Probably a performer or a writer or something."

Larnie says he has a notebook full of songs that he's already written:

"I started writing music a while ago, and I would just have a melody stuck in my head.  Then I started learning how to read music and I started actually writing the music down."

Larnie plans to go to college and hopes to find an adoptive family that could give him the support he needs:

"Just basically someone who will not put me down for the things I choose to do or choose to pursue dream-wise, like to support me instead of knocking me down."
