Villanova Hoopsters Now Ranked #8 In US

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The new AP Top 25 men's college basketball poll is out, and Villanova has moved up.

Now 9-1, the Wildcats have jumped up from number 10 to number 8 this week, right behind surprising San Diego State.   Villanova beat Delaware last time out, on Saturday.

Jay Wright's squad returns to the court on Wednesday as they visit Monmouth.

Temple received votes in this week's poll; the 8-2 Owls picked up 39 points this week and are now 29th.  The Owls visit Ohio on Wednesday night.

Drexel also gets some votes this week.  The 8-1 Dragons upset of then-#20 Louisville earned them six points this week.  Drexel has another big test this week: the Dragons will visit #5 Syracuse. The Orangemen are 11-0.
