Two Agencies Combine to Improve Service at Love Park

Look for some changes at the Fairmount Park visitors center in Love Park, thanks to a new partnership.

The Independence Visitors Center Corporation and the Philadelphia Department of Parks and Recreation have formed a partnership to improve operations at the Fairmount Park Visitors Center in Love Park.

James Curato, president and CEO of the Visitors Center Corporation, says the first thing is expanded hours:

"We're going to go Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday 10 am to 4 pm. We're also going to be open on holidays. It will afford visitors who might not be making it down to the historic area to experience the same level of services that we provide here at 6th and Market Streets."

There'll be snacks and beverages at self-serve kiosks and ticket sales for major attractions.
