Jazz music oozes the mood in this classic, cool and contemporary barber shop in Center City. The shop requests appointments only, but walk-ins are welcome to stop by and see if an opening is available.

People drive up to a half hour to get their hair cut by John Scioli. He's a classically trained barber, and every men's haircut comes with a hot-lather, straight-razor neck shave. Scioli's barber shop is full of unique vintage and nostalgic items, including several Elvis busts, and there's nothing pretentious about it. John's Old School New Skool is a destination just as much as it is a barber shop, and the shop takes walk-ins only.
