Time To Tune Up The Lawn Mower
By Phran Novelli
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Whether or not you're partial to the wearing o' the green in the middle of March, your garden certainly is. Even though we know it can get cold and even snow again, longer days and warmer temperatures have plants stirring. Buds start swelling on trees and shrubs, bulbs are pushing up, and the grass is starting to get green too.
Before you know it, it will be time to pull weeds, put down seed and even mow. So, how's your lawnmower? Do you know?
Did you clean it and drain the gas and sharpen the blade before you put it away last fall? If you forgot, now's the time to get it out and get it checked out before the waiting lines at the mower shop get any longer.
A mower that's running well saves you lots of time and money. And a sharp blade helps you cut faster, so you'll use less gas and spew fewer fumes while making your lawn look neater and keeping your grass much healthier.
