Teen Who Wowed Crowds With Solo During Pope's Visit Releases Free Holiday Song

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --   The Philadelphia teen who sang a solo on the Ben Franklin Parkway for Pope Francis a few months ago is now sharing his gift of song for the holiday.

You may remember the angelic voice of Bobby Hill.

He wowed the thousands attending the Festival of Families this past September on the Parkway with a performance that catapulted him from just another member of the Keystone State Boy Choir to a talented soloist.

Now, Hill, a student at Central High School, is sharing a holiday favorite, "Oh Holy Night" which he's releasing free through his website.

"I think that it kinds of highlights my voice a little bit and I also like the song, too," Hill told KYW Newsradio.  "The lyrics are great and the music is great and I just like it all around."

Hill says he recorded the piece in the Electric Lady Studios in New York, the same studios used by Jimi Hendrix, Bruno Mars and even Adele.
