Teen Struck, Killed By Trash Truck In SW Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A Southwest Philadelphia neighborhood is mourning the tragic death of a teenager who was struck and killed by a trash truck while riding his bike Friday afternoon.
According to police, the 16-year-old male was riding his bicycle near the intersection of 58th and Elmwood Streets when he was struck by a private "McCusker and Osborne" trash truck just after 3:30p.m.
The deceased teenager has not yet been identified pending notification of family members.
The deadly accident remains under investigation.
