Suspect Assaults Female Shopper Inside South Jersey Store, Steals Victim's Car

CINNAMINSON, N.J. (CBS) –- Police are searching for a suspect who assaulted a female shopper inside a South Jersey store before he stole her car.

The incident happened at about 8:09 p.m. Saturday at the Ross department store located on Route 130 in Cinnaminson.

According to investigators, the female victim was shopping in the store when she was approached by the suspect. Police say the suspect assaulted the woman before he stole her car keys. The suspect then ran out of the store and took the victim's 2006 red Nissan Sentra bearing New Jersey license plate VNL-93R.

The victim was not seriously injured.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early 20's, approximately 5'6"-5'8" tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a long sleeve blue "Nike" shirt and blue jeans.
