Pa. Attorney General Kathleen Kane Ordered To Stand Trial
NORRISTOWN, Pa. (CBS) - The criminal case against Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane is headed for trial, as all charges were held at her preliminary hearing.

The preliminary hearing began around 1:15 p.m. Monday and lasted for hours before the Montgomery County judge ruled all charges can move forward.

As KYW's Jim Melwert reports, Kane is charged with leaking confidential information from a 2009 grand jury, then lying to cover it up, allegedly to target a rival.
Kane faces charges including perjury and obstruction.

After the preliminary hearing, Kane's attorney spoke to reporters.
"The entire story hasn't come out yet. I think a little more to the story evolved today. A little too slow for my taste, but we're looking forward to a trial," said Kane's attorney Gerald Shargel.
"Attorney General Kane is not guilty of any of these charges," said Shargel.
Montgomery County First Assistant District Attorney Kevin Steele says he is pleased with Monday's decision.
The formal arraignment is scheduled for October. Kane's attorney expects her to be acquitted once this goes to trial.
