Sports: Eagles Get Summertime Trial by Fire

Things were heating up at Eagles training camp today.

KYW's Ed Benkin reports from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. that this was the hottest day of training camp so far, but head coach Andy Reid was glad he had a chance to test his players toughness in the heat.

Reid liked the way his team responded:

"The guys have worked through it.  They've been tough practices.  We're going to continue on the next couple of days here and keep pushing."

LeSean McCoy and DeSean Jackson both left the morning practice early because of the heat.

Reid pointed out that his players might have to face the same type of scorching conditions early in the season.
