South Jersey Man Pleads Guilty To Leaving Puppies In Car To Die
BURLINGTON COUNTY, N.J. (CBS) - A South Jersey man accused of leaving two puppies in a hot car to die last month has pleaded guilty to animal cruelty charges.
Authorities say Kevin Conquest of Sicklerville left the puppies in a Mount Laurel parking lot while he worked on July 4th.
The puppies -- a Husky and Golden Retriever – were both only four months old.
A judge fined Conquest $4,000. He is also banned from owning any animal for five years and must serve 40 hours of community service at the Camden County Animal Shelter.
