Rittenhouse Row Festival Pulls In Big Crowds On A Gorgeous Day
By Hadas Kuznits
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It was a beautiful day for the annual Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival, which shuts down Walnut Street between Broad and 19th Street.
"Corie and Ilana, with Rittenhouse Row, spend a good deal of their time throughout the year planning, preparing, communicating everything that goes into making sure things go flawlessly and that the 50,000 folks that come in attendance enjoy their day," said Evan O'Donnell, a board member with the Festival.
"50,000 people?" Hadas Kuznits asked.
"Absolutely. That's what we've gotten in previous years, and with the weather being as nice as it is, I wouldn't be surprised if we topped that," O'Donnell confirmed.
And those folks partake from all of the Rittenhouse Row establishments, mainly the restaurants.
"I ate a lamb curry sandwich," one person said.
"I'm going to eat stuff and just soak it all up," said another.
"Alcohol, food... What could be better?" another festival-goer summed up.
