Report: Dario Saric Intends To Join Sixers In Summer 2016

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Some may have forgotten about the other player the Sixers snagged in the first round of the 2014 NBA Draft, Dario Saric. The Sixers acquired the rights to Saric in a trade on that night that sent Elfrid Payton to Orlando.

Prior to draft night, the now 21-year-old inked a three-year deal with Turkish Club Anadolu Efes.

It was unclear when Saric would make his way to Philadelphia, but it now appears that the talented young forward knows when he wants to bring his game to the NBA.

Saric spoke with Turkish newspaper, Vecernji listand revealed that he plans to join the Sixers after this season.

"I am in constant contact with the Sixers, they wanted me as soon as possible, but I have a contract with Efes," Sario told the paper according to a Google translation.

"In the summer, I will still go because I have a way out in the contract."

Saric could be just one of a number of important additions for the Sixers this upcoming off-season; one that will include multiple first round picks, and if all goes according to plan, a healthy Joel Embiid.
