'President's House' Opens December 16th
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - After ten years of research, debate, and national attention, the "President's House" memorial project is scheduled to open December 16th.
It might not look like much right now, but project manager Rosalyn McPherson says the brick and mortar stage of the President's House is almost finished:
"Jed Levin, the chief archaeologist, will be going down into the pit with the team to tidy up, so to speak, and prepare those fragments for permanent viewing."
McPherson says a lot of behind the scenes work has been completed - editing and reviewing all of the content of the exhibit, illustration revisions, and getting the necessary permission for images. In about two weeks, passersby should see the beginnings of installation of the exhibit's production aspects. The opening event is scheduled for noon on December 16th.
