Police Responding To Possible Barricade Situation In Burlington City

BURLINGTON CITY, N.J., (CBS) -- Police say they are on scene of a possible barricade situation in Burlington City, New Jersey.

Burlington City Police say at about 3:42 p.m. Thursday, officers were in the area of E. Federal and York Streets when they heard several shots being fired. Police say several units responded to the area.

The Department says they are working with New Jersey State Police with a possible barricaded person situation on the 300 Block of Jones Avenue.

Police advise to please avoid the area.

Several road closures have also been reported.

There is no word on injuries.
