Police: Widener University Law Student Charged With Sexual Solicitation Of A Child

WILMINGTON (CBS) -- A third year law student at Widener University School of Law was arrested for allegedly soliciting sex from a detective posing as a child.

Delaware State Police say 26 year-old Christopher D. Ginelli of Lakewood, New Jersey, was arrested after contacting the undercover detective who was posing online as a 13-year-old girl.

Authorities say Ginnelli engaged in multiple chat sessions with the detective -- soliciting the girl to "meet and have sex with him."

The Child Predator Task Force, the detective's unit, was able to determine the Ginelli was communicating from the Widener University School of Law. A search warrant was executed at Ginelli's dorm and his laptop was seized.

He was arrested and charged with four counts of sexual solicitation of a child and is being held on $60,000 secured bail.
