PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police are investigating a string of armed robberies near a local campus.
Police are warning students not to walk alone, after a rash of robberies north and west of Drexel University's campus.
Police are looking for a man, believed to be one of at least two or three suspects police say are targeting students, robbing them at gunpoint as they walk off campus. Police say there have been seven robberies in the last 10 days.
"The majority of them have been one or two persons on a bike and in all of the incidents they are using a handgun so we're concerned because obviously these are college students," said Philadelphia Police Lt. John Walker.
Investigators say the latest incident happened before 7 a.m. Wednesday.
"We also have about six other robberies in that immediate area between 40th and 42nd, Powelton Avenue up to Fairmount and it looks like these individuals are preying on people walking alone," said Lt. Walker.
All believed to be same suspects who police say may live nearby.
Police are now asking anyone with information to give them a call.
