Police Investigate Several Car Burglaries In Lower Township
LOWER TOWNSHIP, N.J., (CBS) -- Police report a surge in the amount of car burglaries investigated over the weekend in Lower Township, Cape May County.
Police say during the weekend of August 28th- 31st, a large portion of the burglaries occurred in the North Cape May Section of Lower Township, more specifically on Leaming, Wayne, and Caspian Avenues.
Several car burglaries during the night hours on Shadeland Avenue in the Villas were also reported, according to police.
Police say the majority of the vehicles burglarized over the weekend were unlocked and had valuables in plain view of potential thieves.
Lower Township Police are asking all residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately to 609-886-2711.
