Police In Camden County Search For Attempted Robbery Suspect
WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) - Police in Camden County are searching for the man who attempted to rob a pharmacy on Wednesday wearing a dress and a wig.
The suspect entered Jolin's Pharmacy on the 400 block of Sicklerville Road at about 2 p.m. and reportedly demanded Oxycontin from Dr. John Agyemang, the pharmacist (see related story).
Agyemang told police he saw what appeared to be a gun in the suspect's fanny pack. Agyemang then ran to the back of the store, grabbed his gun and chased after the suspect, firing several shots outside the store, according to authorities.
The suspect fled on a mountain bike; it does not appear he was struck by gunfire.
The suspect is described as African-American with a light-colored beard and about 5' 8" to 5' 10" tall. He was wearing black sneakers, a blue dress and a wig.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Winslow Police Detective Tristan Shorter at (609) 561-3300.
