Police Hope to ID "John Doe" Assault Victim

Philadelphia police are hoping someone can help them identify an assault victim who remained hospitalized in serious condition, Monday night.

KYW's Jim Melwert reports the man was injured around 8 o'clock, Saturday morning at the Tower Plaza Shopping Center on the 4600 block of Roosevelt Boulevard.

Witnesses told police the man hit his head after he was punched by another man.

He was rushed into surgery at Einstein Medical Center where he remained, unconscious, Monday evening.

He may be named Javier.  He's about 5-feet, 8-inches tall, with a husky build and black spiked hair.  He was wearing jeans and brown boots.
