Police: Father Shoots Son In Mayfair
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police say a man is fighting for his life after he was shot by his father outside of a home in Northeast Philadelphia.
It happened around 1 p.m. Tuesday in the 3200 block of Princeton Street in the city's Mayfair neighborhood.
Authorities say a 38-year-old man was shot once in the chest by his father. He was taken to Aria-Torresdale Hospital in critical condition.
Police recovered the weapon at the scene and the shooter was taken into custody.
There was no initial word on what led to the shooting.
