Delco Police Arrest Gas Station Worker Who Groped Customer

By Kristen Johanson

RADNOR, Pa. (CBS) - Police in Delaware County are investigating an indecent assault that occurred inside a gas station Saturday morning.

Around 11:45 a.m. officers responded to Lancaster Avenue near Spring Mill Road for reports of a woman who was groped by a Shell Gas Station employee.

Radnor Police Lt. Chris Flanagan says Bijay Kumar Lama was making coffee for the woman, and then went in to hug her:

"Shortly following that hug, he began to lower his right hand onto her back, and then onto her lower buttock area, and he further took his left hand and groped the female victims left breast."

Lama was arrested and charged with harassment and assault.

"We were given third-party information that other female employees of local businesses may have been treated in the same manner," Lt. Flanagan says.

He says anyone who may have had contact with Lama in the past should contact authorities.

"Any time somebody conducts themselves in an inappropriate manner, in particular anybody who touches anybody, it is very important to contact police."
