Police: Delaware Woman Asks To Go To Jail, Kicks Troopers
NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) -- Delaware State Police say a woman has been charged with kicking and spitting on troopers.
Police say 20-year-old Teiera Rider of New Castle approached troopers responding to a call at a Super Lodge Motel early Saturday.
Police say Rider began shouting profanities and demanded the troopers take her to jail. When Rider refused to calm down, the troopers began to arrest her. Police say Rider kicked troopers on the scene and after she was taken to Troop 2.
She is charged with resisting arrest and three counts of offensive touching of a law enforcement officer among other charges.
Police say they found a warrant for Rider stemming from a 2010 crash in which she is accused of spitting on a Wilmington officer.
