Planners Ask For The Public's Input As They Look To Redevelop The Area Around 30th Street Station

By Justin Udo

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Developers are looking for feedback on how to improve the area around 30th Street Station and they are asking for the public's help.

Planners are using three base models for possible ways to develop the 700 acres around the transportation hub.

"We're planning for a future of a really unique, dynamic neighborhood with 30th Street Station at the center of it."

Natalie Shieh is the project manager for the 30th Street Station District Plan.

She says for the next month folks can get online and weigh in on the development ideas.

" We have mini visuals out there for people to look at, comment on and tell us what they like about each alternative and tell us what needs a little more work."

The development group is holding different meetings to get public feedback so they can come up with a preferred vision.
