Picking Produce Getting Easier For Pa. Farmers
LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (CBS) - Some farmers in Pennsylvania are now picking fruits and vegetables while lying down.
A new piece of equipment known as the PA 1600 lets them do this. It is designed to take some of the backbreaking work out of farming.
The machine has a canopy that doubles as a solar panel, keeping the farmer cooler.
This is used at Plum Creek Farm in Lancaster County.
