Phils Run Over Rockies Again
Much like Friday night's blowout win, the Phils had 1 big inning, scoring 7 runs in the 3rd, on route to a 10-2 win over the Rockies at Citizens Bank Park. Kyle Kendrick(W, 6-4) with an impressive outing, going 7 innings allowing 1 run on 6 hits. Colorado ace Ubaldo Jimenez(L, 15-2) lit up for 6 runs on 3 hits, walking 6, in just 2+ innings. Jimmy Rollins led the lineup going 3-5, including a 2 run triple.
7 of the Phils 10 runs were scored in the 3rd. Ubaldo Jimenez walked Jimmy Rollins to start the inning. Rollins would steal 2nd, and on a throwing error advances to 3rd. Next batter Placido Polanco walks on 4 pitches. Raul Ibanez thens draws a full count walk, loading the bases. Ryan Howard empties them with an rbi triple(PHI3-0). Jimenez would then throw a wild pitch to Jayson Werth, scoring Howard(PHI4-0). Shane Victorino would milk yet another walk off Jimenez, ending his day after just 2+ innings. Gregg Dobbs added an rbi single, scoring Werth(PHI5-0), and Jimmy Rollins hit a 2 run triple making it 7-0 Phils.
