Phillies To Take A Look At Brian Wilson

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Phillies fans remember Brian Wilson as the bearded, dominant closer of the 2010 San Francisco Giants team that knocked the Phillies out of the playoffs in the NLCS.

Wilson had Tommy John surgery over a year ago, and is looking to pitch again, and the Phillies are going to take a look at him according to Todd Zolecki of MLB.COM.

The Phillies will be one team watching Wilson throw on Thursday in Los Angeles. Wilson threw for Giants coaches on Tuesday.

The Phillies bullpen struggles have been well documented, and if they feel they're still able to make a playoff push, a healthy Wilson could be a big help.
