Phillies Take Extra Steps To Protect Fans From Excessive Heat

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Phillies are taking steps to ensure that fans get some protection from the heat this weekend.

Phillies Director of Event Operations Eric Tobin says they'll be pushing fluids beyond the obvious items that are always on sale.

"The stadium has approximately 20 water fountains. In addition, Aramark will have complimentary ice water available to anyone that asks at all their permanent stands."

The Phils have also set up misting stations to give overheated fans a spritz and brought in medics -- just in case.

On top of that, Tobin has a reminder about drinks fans can bring into the park as long as they're factory sealed.

'The key is to make sure you stay hydrated. you dojn't want to dehydrated, you don't want to get heat exhaustion or heat stroke and if you do feel those symptoms please make sure you see our personnel so we can get you into a cool area and get you some fluids."
