Philadelphia Weather: Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Freezing Drizzle Across Region

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Parts of the Delaware Valley are under a winter weather advisory until 1 p.m. due to freezing drizzle and the possibility of an icy glaze. Parts of central and south New Jersey and southeast Pennsylvania are in that advisory.

A scattered wintry mix is crossing the area ahead of a coastal low, which will bring steadier rain showers later Monday and into Monday night.

Sunshine makes an appearance Tuesday through Saturday as a much quieter weather pattern settles in. There will be extra clouds late Wednesday and Thursday as a system passes north of our area. There will also be increasing clouds Friday night and Saturday.

There is a chance of snow on Sunday. Models are conflicted, so it is currently too early to tell.

Temperatures will be above average all week in the mid to upper 40's all and flirting with 50's on Thursday and again Saturday.
