Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Philadelphia, New Jersey this weekend: Bar crawls, comedy shows, more
If you find yourself in the Philadelphia area this weekend, you'll likely hear the word "crawl" more than a few times. That's because St. Patrick's Day celebrations are commencing throughout the Delaware Valley; plus for our caffeine cravers, the second annual Northern Liberties Espresso Martini Crawl kicks off Saturday.
But if you're holding out until Monday to celebrate St. Patty's Day, there's plenty of comedy shows, live performances and you can catch this weekend in the City of Brotherly Love.
Here's a list of events happening in the Philadelphia region this weekend.
Philadelphia's St. Patrick's Day parade
A celebration of Irish heritage will be on full display this Sunday as the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade marches its way through Philadelphia. The Philadelphia St. Patrick's Day Parade is a community staple – a tradition that has been around since 1771! Get ready to get your green on because this is a celebration you won't want to miss.
However, if you can't make it to the parade, you can watch the St. Patrick's Day parade on Philly 57, CBS Philadelphia's sister station from noon until 3 p.m. Sunday. Plus, on St. Patrick's Day, an encore of the parade will air on CBS Philadelphia from 9 a.m. to noon and again from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on our streaming platform, CBS News Philadelphia.
Erin Express St Patrick's Day Philly Bar Crawl
If you bring the St. Patrick's Day cheer, the Erin Express will lead you to a nice pint of beer! It's time to hop aboard the Erin Express. This annual St. Patrick's Day celebratory bar crawl around Philadelphia kicks off Saturday and continues for round two on Sunday.
General admission tickets for Saturday or Sunday start at $19.95. You can also score a two-day pass for the weekend, which starts at $29.95. Both general admission tickets and the two-day pass include free cover charges, drink and food specials at select locations and green-themed swag!

The township provides a free Jitney service to drive attendees all along the crawl route so they can safely get from destination to destination. The bar crawl, which kicks off at 2 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m., will include the following stops: Keg & Kitchen, Pour House, Treno Pizza Bar, Brewer's Towne Tavern, Central Taco & Tequila, PJ Whelihan's, Tap Room & Grill featuring Santucci's, Tom Fischer's Tavern, Reunion Hall, Haddon Square and the Westmont PATCO train station, according to the event's website.
Northern Liberties Espresso Martini Crawl 2025
Move aside the green beer for St. Patrick's Day weekend and head to Northern Liberties for the second annual Espresso Martini Crawl on Saturday.
Some of the neighborhood's top restaurants like North 3rd, El Camino Real, Silk City and Urban Village are among the 14 spots participating in the crawl. The espresso martinis will all be $12 or less.
Espresso martini lovers can expect the typical tini with espresso, vodka, coffee liqueur and simple syrup, but some places are putting their own twist on the popular drink.
Bar1010, a pizza restaurant, has an espresso martini on their menu with 16-month aged parmigiano reggiano. El Camino Real is putting their twist on the drink with spiced Mexican chocolate in one of their espresso martinis.
The crawl begins at 11 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m. Saturday.
