Philadelphia Police DO NOT Want You To Spoil Star Wars

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The official release date for the latest installment of Star Wars is coming. Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters on Friday, December 18 and tickets are already selling like crazy.

That means some people are going to be fortunate enough to see the film earlier than others. The last thing that true Star Wars fans would want is for people to spoil the film by revealing details early.

Among those fans are the members of the Philadelphia Police and if they had their way, spoiling the film would be against the law.

While Philadelphia Police officers may not want us telling them about the film to early, they remind us that they don't make the laws. They only enforce them.

However, the tweet did catch the eye of an actual lawmaker. Speaker of the house, Paul Ryan replied, "Knew we forgot to put something in the omnibus."
